Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility which works to treat drug and alcohol addiction disorders and psychological disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation takes part in a number of treatment activities and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for addicted individuals in Yukon who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are unable to be away from their families for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction problems while also overcoming psychological issues which could keep them from remaining sober when treatment is complete.
