Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to treat drug addiction issues and psychological disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in treatment participates in various treatment services and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done several days a week, depending on the significance of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted individuals in Yonkers who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient rehab, or for those who are not able to be apart from their home for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in typical treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time addressing mental health disorders which may deter them from remaining abstinent after rehab is done.
