Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that works to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehab participates in various rehabilitation activities and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days per week, depending on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted people in Yellow Jacket who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their families for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in traditional treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time dealing with psychological issues which may deter them from staying sober once rehabilitation is done.
