Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of drug and alcohol rehab center that is meant to deal with drug addiction issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in treatment participates in various rehabilitation activities and strategies during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug or alcohol addicted people in Wyoming who are unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for those who are not able to be away from their families for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in typical treatment services for addiction problems while also addressing psychological disorders which may deter them from remaining abstinent once rehabilitation is complete.
