Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehab program that is meant to treat drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in rehabilitation takes part in various rehab activities and methods in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for addicted men and women in Wittmann who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are unable to be away from their families for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in typical counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while also dealing with psychological problems which could keep them from staying sober after treatment is done.
