Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehab program which is meant to handle substance abuse problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehabilitation participates in a variety of rehabilitation services and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted individuals in Winslow who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient rehab, or who are not able to be apart from their families for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in standard counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while at the same time overcoming psychological problems which may deter them from remaining abstinent after rehab is done.
