Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center that works to handle drug and alcohol addiction disorders and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in treatment participates in various rehab activities and approaches in the daytime and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted individuals in Winger who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are not able to be apart from their home for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in typical treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction problems while also overcoming mental health problems which may deter them from staying abstinent once treatment is done.
