Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which is meant to treat drug addiction problems and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehabilitation partakes in a number of treatment activities and strategies in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days a week, depending on the significance of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted persons in Westchester, Illinois who who may be unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or who are not able to be apart from their home and work for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in standard treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction problems while at the same time addressing psychological problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent when rehab is complete.
