Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment program that works to handle drug addiction issues and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in treatment takes part in a variety of treatment activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem.
