Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment program which works to treat substance abuse problems and psychological issues which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in treatment participates in various treatment activities and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days a week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
