Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that works to treat substance abuse problems and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation participates in various treatment services and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
