Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility that works to treat substance abuse problems and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehabilitation participates in various treatment services and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted men and women in Waterford Works who who may be unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or who are unable to be apart from their households for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in traditional treatment services for alcohol or drug addiction problems while at the same time dealing with mental health issues which may deter them from remaining sober after rehabilitation is complete.
