Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program that is meant to handle drug addiction issues and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in treatment partakes in various rehabilitation activities and approaches during the day and then returns home in the night time. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted individuals in Washington who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient rehab, or who are unable to be apart from their home and work for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in standard treatment services for addiction issues while at the same time addressing mental health problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent once treatment is complete.
