Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment center which works to handle substance abuse problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in rehab partakes in a number of rehab activities and techniques during the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done several days per week, depending on the seriousness of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted persons in Turin who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their households for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in traditional treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction problems while also dealing with psychological disorders which may deter them from staying sober once rehabilitation is complete.
