Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug treatment center that is meant to treat substance abuse problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehabilitation takes part in a variety of rehabilitation services and approaches in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the severity of the problem.
