Criminal justice clients are a large portion of clientele who are currently taking part in drug and alcohol treatment programs in Triangle and in the USA. Court systems in the country often find it more helpful to treat individuals who have wound up in the criminal justice system for drug related crimes, rather than penalizing them in vain with jail time and other penalties. It has proven more helpful to tackle the issue of addiction directly, than to invoke such penalties. Most who do not make their way to alcohol and drug rehabilitation will frequently wind back up in the criminal justice hamster wheel, while criminal justice clients in alcohol and drug rehab often don't fall back into drug use and have a far better chance at staying abstinent and out of the court system for good.
