Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment program which works to handle substance abuse problems and mental health problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in treatment takes part in a variety of treatment services and techniques in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out several days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
