Rehabbing men and women who are addicted and dependent to drugs and have ended up in the criminal justice system has proven effective in preventing repeat drug related criminal offenses by those who do receive treatment. For criminal justice clients in Towanda who do partake in alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs, even against one's will as is occasionally court ordered, these clients have a far better shot of handling the crux of the issue so that they can remain off of drugs and away from negative influences and [[[committing drug related criminal activity. The costs to society related to these drug related criminal offenses is also impacted beneficially when criminal justice clients become rehabilitated in drug rehab facilities in Towanda instead of jail time or other harsh punishment.
