Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment program which works to deal with substance abuse problems and mental health disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in treatment partakes in a number of treatment activities and techniques during the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug or alcohol problem.
