Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment program that works to treat substance abuse problems and mental health issues which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in rehab takes part in a variety of rehabilitation activities and techniques in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the problem.
