Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehab program that is meant to handle substance abuse problems and psychological issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehabilitation participates in various rehab activities and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the night time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted men and women in Sycamore who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient treatment, or for those who are not able to be apart from their home and work for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in standard counseling and therapy for addiction problems while at the same time dealing with mental health problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent once rehabilitation is done.
