Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center which works to treat drug addiction problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in treatment participates in a number of rehabilitation services and techniques in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug or alcohol addicted people in Stryker who may not be able to cover the costs of long-term inpatient treatment, or who are unable to be apart from their households for extended durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in typical treatment services for addiction problems while simultaneously overcoming mental health issues which could keep them from remaining sober when rehabilitation is complete.
