Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment facility that works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction problems and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in treatment takes part in a number of treatment activities and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is done several days per week, depending on the significance of the drug problem.
