Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug treatment center which is meant to deal with drug addiction disorders and psychological issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in rehab participates in a number of treatment activities and approaches in the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug addicted individuals in Stockdale who may not be able to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home for extended durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time dealing with psychological disorders which could keep them from staying abstinent when rehab is done.
