Some mothers and fathers may not seek help for drug addiction because they are afraid that their youngster may end up in foster care with total strangers. Although this may often true, some drug and alcohol treatment programs around the Startup area actually provide residential beds for client's children to ensure they can receive care at the alcohol and drug treatment facility while also having their children in their care. This provides a feeling of relief to moms and dads in the Startup area who would otherwise temporarily or permanently lose custody of their children, but rather have their young children in their care which often gives them great reassurance. Both parent and little one can benefit from being in such a treatment environment while the adult puts the pieces of their lives back together, eventually being able to offer a fresh start for their child once rehab is complete.
