Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program which is meant to handle substance abuse disorders and psychological disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehabilitation partakes in a number of rehab services and strategies during the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for drug or alcohol addicted people in Stamford who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for those who are not able to be away from their families for extensive periods of time.
