Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction disorders and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in rehab partakes in various treatment activities and strategies in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
