Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which is meant to deal with substance abuse disorders and psychological issues which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the person in treatment partakes in a number of rehab services and methods during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
