Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug rehab program that works to treat drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab takes part in a variety of rehabilitation activities and approaches during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is carried out several days a week, all dependent on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted persons in Sparta who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient rehab, or for those who are unable to be away from their home for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in standard treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time dealing with psychological disorders which could keep them from staying sober when rehabilitation is done.
