Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment program which works to treat substance abuse problems and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment partakes in a number of rehab services and techniques during the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for addicted individuals in Southbridge who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or who are not able to be away from their households for prolonged periods of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in standard counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues while simultaneously dealing with mental health disorders which could keep them from remaining sober after rehab is done.
