Secretary, MD. - Hospital Inpatient Programs
Hospital inpatient drug and alcohol treatment is a form of rehabilitation that is done in a medical facility and is overseen by doctors and other healthcare staff. Hospital inpatient rehabilitation is at times required if there is any chance of life threatening symptoms of withdrawal, which is often a factor with alcohol and with a category of prescription drug known as benzodiazepines which must be monitored extremely carefully by medical specialists to avoid any issues. Hospital inpatient treatment may be an option for treatment clients in Secretary who choose to take part in medication assisted withdrawal, as is the situation with treatment clients in Secretary that are opiate dependent and wish to use this type of detox approach to avoid the harsh symptoms connected with heroin or other opiate withdrawal. This form of opiate detox is not in any way a form of rehab by itself however, and treatment clients will require further time spent in rehab to fully overcome opiate addiction.
