Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment center that is meant to deal with substance abuse disorders and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the treatment client in rehabilitation partakes in a variety of rehab activities and strategies in the daytime and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted people in Scooba who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or who are unable to be apart from their families for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients participate in traditional treatment services for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time dealing with mental health issues which could keep them from remaining sober once treatment is done.
