Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug treatment facility which is meant to deal with drug and alcohol addiction disorders and mental health issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in treatment partakes in a variety of rehab activities and methods in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted people in Scandia who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient rehab, or for treatment clients who are unable to be apart from their households for prolonged lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in typical counseling and therapy for addiction issues while also addressing mental health issues which may deter them from remaining sober once treatment is complete.
