Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which is meant to handle drug addiction disorders and psychological disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehabilitation takes part in various rehab services and strategies in the day and then returns home in the night time. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted individuals in Saluda who who may be unable to afford long-term inpatient care, or who are unable to be apart from their home and work for extensive durations of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in standard treatment services for addiction problems while at the same time dealing with mental health problems which could keep them from staying abstinent after rehabilitation is done.
