Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in rehabilitation takes part in a number of treatment activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done several days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem.
