Treating individuals who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and have ended up in the criminal justice system has proven a productive method of curbing future drug related criminal offenses those offenders that do take advantage of treatment programs. For criminal justice clients in Round O that do agree to take part in treatment in drug and alcohol treatment facilities, even against one's will as is sometimes ordered by the court, these individuals have a significantly better chance at dealing with the root of the issue so that they can stay sober and away from being implicated in drug related criminal acts. The costs to the criminal justice system associated with these drug related criminal offenses is also affected beneficially when criminal justice clients are helped in drug treatment facilities in Round O in lieu of incarceration or other harsh punishment.
