Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment center which is meant to deal with drug addiction disorders and mental health problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehab participates in a variety of rehab activities and approaches in the daytime and then leaves in the night time. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted individuals in Ringwood who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient treatment, or for treatment clients who are not able to be away from their home for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in traditional counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while at the same time overcoming psychological issues which could keep them from remaining abstinent when treatment is done.
