Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to deal with substance abuse disorders and psychological disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the treatment client in treatment takes part in a number of rehab activities and strategies during the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done several days a week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted persons in Richmond who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or for those who are unable to be away from their households for prolonged periods of time.
