Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol treatment program which is meant to handle substance abuse issues and psychological problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the individual in rehabilitation participates in a variety of rehab activities and approaches in the daytime and then leaves in the evening. This is done several days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug or alcohol addicted individuals in Rhinebeck who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient rehab, or who are unable to be apart from their families for prolonged durations of time. While in Day Treatment, people participate in standard counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time addressing psychological issues which could keep them from remaining abstinent once rehab is complete.
