Partial Hospitalization, also known as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment facility which is meant to treat substance abuse problems and psychological issues which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in treatment participates in a variety of treatment services and methods during the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem.
