Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug treatment center that works to treat drug addiction issues and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the person in treatment takes part in various rehab activities and strategies in the daytime and then returns home in the evening time. This is done several days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
