Native Languages - Pompeys Pillar, MT.
Native Americans and Alaska Natives are known to have much increased rates of abuse and alcohol and drug addiction than other races, an a situation which should be resolved for these cultures to survive. Although the things which trigger substance abuse may differ from individual to individual, most of the factors for the high rates of substance abuse among Native American and Alaska Natives have to do with their culture. In fact, Native American and Alaska Native youth appear to have some of the highest rates of alcohol and drug abuse in the nation. The most evident obstacles to helping Native Americans and Alaska Natives for drug and alcohol addiction are cultural differences and their language. Due to this it is important that Native Americans and Alaska Natives in Pompeys Pillar receive substance abuse treatment in an alcohol and drug treatment center that is culturally acceptable, and most importantly in a drug rehab that considers the need to supply drug and alcohol treatment in their native tongue.
