Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to deal with drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health disorders which might be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab takes part in various rehabilitation activities and techniques in the day and then leaves in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, depending on the severity of the drug problem.
