Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehab program that works to handle substance abuse issues and mental health disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the individual in treatment participates in various treatment services and techniques during the day and then returns home in the evening time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, depending on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be beneficial for drug addicted men and women in Piedmont who are unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or who are unable to be apart from their home for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in typical counseling and therapy for alcohol or drug addiction issues while simultaneously addressing mental health problems which could keep them from remaining abstinent after rehab is complete.
