Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center which is meant to deal with drug addiction problems and psychological problems which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab partakes in various treatment activities and methods during the day and then leaves in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the drug or alcohol problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted people in Peterman who who may be unable to pay for long-term inpatient care, or who are unable to be away from their families for extended lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals take part in traditional counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction problems while simultaneously dealing with mental health problems which could keep them from staying sober when rehab is done.
