Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment facility which is meant to deal with drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health issues which may be co-occurring. In a PHP program, the person in treatment partakes in a variety of rehab activities and techniques in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is done anywhere from five to seven days a week, all dependent on the severity of the drug or alcohol problem.
