Criminal justice clients in Palestine often end up in drug rehab centers due to the fact they were convicted of drug related crimes, whether they were distributing drugs or had drugs in their possession or were high on drugs. Some judges put these types of individuals into the drug and alcohol rehabilitation system mainly due to the fact that they consider that rehabbing them will be more productive for the culture at large and for the person, rather than placing them in prison with no treatment at all.
