Criminal justice clients are a large portion of clientele who are currently taking part in drug and alcohol rehab programs in North Spring and across the nation. Judicial systems around the country are finding it more effective to rehabilitate individuals who have ended up in the court system for crimes relating to drugs, rather than punishing them to no avail with time in jail and other penalties. It has proven more effective to address the problem of addiction more straightforwardly, rather than invoke such penalties. Most who do not make their way to alcohol and drug rehab will often wind back up in the criminal justice system, while criminal justice clients in drug and alcohol treatment often don't fall back into drug use and have a better chance at staying abstinent and out of the court system for good.
