Criminal justice clients are a large percentage of clients who are currently taking part in alcohol and drug treatment centers in North Branch and in the USA. Judicial systems in the U.S. are finding it more beneficial to rehab people who have found their way into the criminal justice system for crimes relating to drugs, rather than penalizing them to no avail with jail time and other penalties. It has proven more effective to address the issue of addiction directly, than to enforce such penalties. Most individuals who do not end up in alcohol and drug rehab will typically wind back up in the criminal justice hamster wheel, whilst criminal justice clients in drug and alcohol rehabilitation often don't make the same mistakes and have a far better chance at remaining sober and out of the court system for good.
