Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a kind of alcohol and drug treatment program that is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in treatment takes part in a number of treatment activities and methods in the daytime and then leaves in the evening time. This is done several days a week, depending on the seriousness of the problem.
