Partial Hospitalization, sometimes referred to as "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug and alcohol treatment center which works to treat drug and alcohol addiction problems and psychological disorders which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in treatment participates in a number of treatment activities and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the night time. This is done anywhere from five to seven days per week, depending on the significance of the drug problem.
